Safe and Sound. Adaptive Adventrues’ Craig Demartino readies a young climber to scale the wall at The Big Gear Show on June 8, 2023. The nonprofit is at the show to help reinforce the idea that every body has a place in the outdoors.
People Person: Colorado Gov. Jared Polis opened the show and toured the floor to see what was new and exciting in the outdoor marketplace. A big proponent of outdoor recreation and conservation, Polis signed signed three environment- and water-related bills into law this past week.
Earl Hunter, founder and president of Black Folks Camp Too, brought good vibes and handshakes to the show floor.

The Founders Market—featuring new and up-and-coming brands, many from underrepresented demogrpahics in the outdoor industry—drew the interest of attendees all day long.
