This is THE trade show for the paddle industry to attend. Here at the Big Gear Show, we take pride in offering a completely outdoor event that is set up to benefit retailer demos. Our paddle partners have it made at Deer Valley where exhibits will extend along the shoreline of six acres of pristine, mountain-fed ponds. Needless to say that there is more than enough room for people to get out on the water to test paddle boards, canoes, kayaks and more!

Delivering an all outdoors invitational event in a fantastic mountain venue is not rocket-science, but it’s definitely unconventional. We are folks who love time outside and doing meaningful business in it, and we know how to produce trade shows indoors and out. After all, our businesses are all born from our passion having run successful outdoor retail businesses, and we know that innovation in gear is what drives increased participation and healthy, sustained industry success. We love the lifestyle too, since we live it every day.

Conventional trade shows are built on the premise that gathering masses of people in one place at one time is an efficiency exercise, providing a simple formula across all user groups and markets. We know this model is outdated. Today’s business event is curated to bring the right group together in the right setting at the right time for an experience focused on shared business challenges and opportunities. We’re producing an affordable, experiential event built to drive relevant outdoor product/brand discovery, retailer education and gear testing on world-class terrain in the airy and inspiring Wasatch Front. Catching-up with colleagues and peers during hosted networking events completes a B2B event that is perfectly crafted for today’s outdoor industry. It’s time for the industry to control its own show destiny; this is the reset show for the Paddle Industry’s next forward leap.

Read on, these pages are meant to clearly explain our thinking and what you can expect from The Big Gear Show. Feel free to write to me with any questions about the event. I look forward to seeing you in Park City!
